NBSC MONDAY CONVOCATION HIGHLIGHTS OATHTAKING AND CULTURAL CELEBRATION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held its Monday Convocation on February 9, 2026, at the Student Development and Welfare Center (SWDC) Building, 1st Floor Lobby. The program opened with the preliminaries, followed by a student dance presentation of the kini-kini under the guidance of Anthony D. Sanchez, MAED, Head of the Culture and Arts Development Office (CADO). The performance was in recognition of National Arts Month (NAM), established by Presidential Proclamation No. 683 in 1991 to honor Filipino creativity and cultural heritage.
During the program, Zandra Shellee Y. Ordinan, MA, Head of the Gender and Development Office (GADO), announced the oathtaking of officers from the Bagani NBSC Men’s Club, Sidlak NBSC Women’s Club, and Hulagway NBSC LGBTQIA+ Club, and requested Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, SUC President I, to administer the oath. The activity formally recognized the organizations and confirmed their respective officers.

Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Head of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), then called for a voluntary recitation of NBSC’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Core Values. Participants who completed the recitation correctly received small prizes. This week’s awardees were:

Rowena E. Bagongon, Head of the Student Affairs, Services and Development Division (SASDD), shared that NBSC was selected by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) to receive three coffee table books (“PAGTAGUYOD,” “PAGKILALA,” and “PAGGALANG”) in acknowledgment of NBSC’s initiatives related to Indigenous Peoples and cultural matters.
Dr. Ganiera thanked the NBSC community for its support during the 1st Internal Quality Audit (IQA) and reminded everyone of the scheduled external audit in March. She noted the strong participation in the VMGC recitation activity and the formal recognition of organizations, assigned Bagani NBSC Men’s Club to host Women’s Month activities and Sidlak NBSC Women’s Club to lead Men’s Day, with Hulagway NBSC LGBTQIA+ Club assisting both, and announced the Executive Committee Meeting immediately after the convocation, with the IQA results and Observation Action Plan to be discussed the following day.
The Monday Convocation reflected the active involvement of multiple offices, units, and divisions across NBSC, highlighting an inclusive environment where initiatives and recognition extend across its community. The recitation activity and formal acknowledgment of organizations demonstrated this approach in action, providing a clear sense of coordination as NBSC moves forward with its planned activities.
